Mattel, the El Segundo company, whose shares trade on Nasdaq under the symbol MAT, reported a change involving its directors or officers in a Form 8-K filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Oct. 19.

The filing says: “On October 19, 2026, Mattel, Inc. (the ‘Company’ or ‘Mattel’) announced that Peter Griffith has been appointed Chief Financial Officer of the Company (‘CFO’) and as a non-independent director of the Board of Directors of the Company (the ‘Board’), in each case effective October 20, 2026 (the ‘Start Date’).”

The filing says Griffith “will succeed Paul Ruh, who will cease to serve as CFO effective October 19, 2026.”

It adds: “The Offer Letter provides that Mr. Griffith will receive an annual base salary of $1,300,000 and will have an annual target bonus opportunity under the Mattel Incentive Plan equal to 100% of his base salary, up to a maximum of 200% of his base salary, with bonus eligibility to commence in the 2027 performance year.”

It follows an earlier filing of the same kind, on Oct. 14, in which the company wrote: “On October 12, 2026, Mattel, Inc. (the ‘Company’ or ‘Mattel’) entered into an amendment (the ‘Amendment’) to the letter agreement, dated September 29, 2026, between the Company and Roger Lynch (the ‘Offer Letter’), with respect to Mr. Lynch’s service as the Company’s Chief Executive Officer.”
