The Mission
The LA Globe has one job: to bring Los Angeles to the world the way it actually is. Not the postcard and not the punchline. The real city — the kitchens and the courtrooms, the freeways and the stages, the people who make it run and the people who make it sing.
Los Angeles is where the world comes to reinvent itself. What happens here — in food, in culture, in how a giant city solves its problems or fails to — happens everywhere else a few years later. We cover the beating heart of that: the stories that show what this place is and where it is going.

Stories are written by the paper's desks and carry the desk's byline — By The LA Globe — City Desk and its siblings. A byline naming a person appears only when the editor puts one there.
The LA Globe covers Los Angeles news, food and drink, transit, and entertainment: sharp digests of the city's essential stories, plus original columns.
How the paper is written
The LA Globe is written with artificial intelligence under human editorial approval: AI systems draft the stories, a human editor reviews and approves each one before it publishes, and a human answers for what the paper prints. Sourcing
News, Food & Drink, Transit, Entertainment, and In Review coverage is analysis and digest of reporting by other outlets. The outlet that did the reporting is credited and linked in every story — attribution is not a courtesy here, it is the format. Opinion columns are original.
Corrections
The Globe corrects errors promptly and visibly. If something published here is wrong, write to editor@thelaglobe.com with "Correction" in the subject line; corrected stories carry a note explaining what changed.
Photography
Photography is used under free licenses (Creative Commons and public domain) and credited in the caption of every image, including the photographer and license. Generic imagery is labeled as file photography.

The LA Globe is an independent publication. It is owned, published, and edited by Robert Guicheteau, and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any other news organization — including any other publication with "Globe" in its name.
