Boichik Bagels Is Taking a Westwood Village Space, a Westside Blog Says

The bagel maker, founded by Emily Winston, would land at 911 Westwood Boulevard, its third shop in Los Angeles.

A Bay Area bagel company with two Los Angeles shops is reported to be headed for 911 Westwood Boulevard in Westwood Village. The move was written up on August 31, 2026 by Toddrickallen, a Westside neighborhood blog, which called the address the chain's third Los Angeles location.

If it opens, it shortens a drive. Boichik Bagels' two existing L.A. shops are in Los Feliz and downtown, which is a long way to go from the Westside for a dozen to take home on a Sunday.

The company runs 10 locations in the Bay Area, per the blog, which described the business as the passion project of Emily Winston, a New Jersey native. The blog also pointed to a New York Times piece declaring the best bagels to be in California, with Boichik on the list.

Three shops across three neighborhoods is a chain that has decided Los Angeles is worth the freight.

Worth noting how thin the reporting is at this stage. The blog hedged its own item, writing that it "looks like" the third shop is moving into the Westwood Boulevard space, and framed the lease as more evidence of what it called the Village's revival.

A commenter on the same post added two more names to the block: The Melt, the grilled-cheese chain, and Better Buzz Coffee, which the commenter said is going into the clock tower building at Westwood and Weyburn. That's a reader's account on a blog, not a filing, and neither company's plans are confirmed there.

No opening date has been announced.

Westwood Village has spent years as the place people cite when they want to argue that a walkable retail block can go quiet anyway. A bagel counter doesn't settle that argument, but leases are how it gets settled, one storefront at a time.

For now the address is the whole announcement: 911 Westwood Boulevard, Westwood Village.
