The downtown Manhattan Beach storefront that used to be Kate Lester Home, according to a South Bay real estate team's roundup, is getting a framing counter. What Now Los Angeles reported Wednesday that the custom-framing company Framebridge lists two stores as coming soon on its website: 1014 Manhattan Ave. in Manhattan Beach and 3189 Glendale Blvd. in Atwater Village.

The Kate Lester Home detail comes from a Sept. 23 roundup by Accardo Real Estate Associates, a South Bay real estate team. The roundup said fall 2026 had been announced as the target. Framebridge hasn't announced an opening timeline, though, and it didn't answer What Now's questions before the story ran.

Framebridge's store locator also lists a third L.A.-area store as coming soon, at 20929 Ventura Blvd. in Woodland Hills. With all three, it would have eight; it already has shops in Larchmont, on West Third Street, in Venice, in Studio City and in Santa Monica.

Both store pages make the same pitch: walk-ins welcome, custom framing up to 40 by 60 inches, personalized design advice and same-day gifting.
