The bar's old neon glows over its door, and a small temporary pop-up shop is set up beside it, lit by its own work lamps. A rack of dark T-shirts and hoodies sits inside, next to a vintage photobooth. A full moon hangs low over the low rooftops and palm trees. Streetlights and the storefronts' own lamps are the only light. No readable text, prices or logos anywhere in the frame.

Robert Eggers' werewolf is reaching Abbot Kinney Boulevard two months before it reaches theaters. Focus Features is staging a one-night Full Moon pop-up for his horror film Werwulf on Sunday at The Brig, a Venice bar that dates to 1952, according to the bar's website, Yo! Venice reported Friday.

The main draw is a merch line made with The Cinegogue, sold from 7 p.m. "until sold out," the film's X account posted. That Hollywood Show listed T-shirts, hoodies and tote bags with the film's logo and artwork, and gave a 10 p.m. close.

There's more to see than shirts. LRM Online said the pop-up will show original costumes and research materials tied to the film and will have a vintage photobooth. It put the setup next to The Brig, which is at 1515 Abbot Kinney Blvd. It's 21 and over, and Yo! Venice says to bring a current ID.

The night is also part of a game. LRM said the pop-up was timed to the full moon, and the second Full Moon Clue unlocks at 9 p.m. Pacific on Sunday at DevourethAllMankynde.com, according to Yo! Venice.

Werwulf, which Eggers wrote with Sjón, stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Willem Dafoe and Lily-Rose Depp. It opens Dec. 25, the same Christmas Day release his Nosferatu got. Once again, Eggers' holiday gift is a horror movie.
