Maree Is the New French Bistro on Pico. Wine Starts at $12.

The casual sequel to Lielle sits one floor up at 9575 W. Pico Blvd., and it's still unrated.

Maree, a French bistro, is running out of the second-floor dining room at 9575 W. Pico Blvd. in Pico-Robertson, one flight above the Scandinavian American restaurant Lielle. It's the more casual follow-up to that restaurant, and it was reviewed on September 21, 2026 by Cathy Park, a senior staff writer in Los Angeles for The Infatuation. The site hasn't given it a score.

Which matters if you're the one who has to pick the place. Somebody in your phone wants a birthday dinner on Pico, the in-laws are in town, and the only number anyone has published for Maree so far is wine by the glass, which starts at $12. That's the entry price on the record.

The room, per The Infatuation's review, runs the standard Parisian playbook: candles on the tables, bottles on the shelves, the day's specials written by hand on the mirrors. Park's read is that the menu doesn't stay that conventional.

Her picks were the escargot beignets, which come with garlicky snail butter, and a shrimp cocktail built on head-on prawns carrying roe. She also singled out the spaghetti vongole and a tiramisu finished under a brûléed sugar crust. The burger, drowned in au poivre sauce, she didn't buy. Service, she wrote, is better than the price tier would suggest.

The unrated tag isn't a shrug at the food. The Infatuation uses it for restaurants it wants to return to before assigning a number, and Maree is currently carried on the site's Hit List of new L.A. restaurants. For scale on the same scoring system: the outlet has Lielle downstairs at 8.7, Pasjoli in Santa Monica at 8.9 and the Beverly Grove wine bar Marvin at 8.3.

So the honest version is a room with one published price, one outlet's verdict and no rating yet. That's thin ground for a hard recommendation, and it's exactly the ground most new restaurants sit on for their first few months. My read of Park's write-up: the pasta and the escargot are the reasons to go, and the burger is the thing to skip.
