How to Claim Aid After the Boyle Heights Warehouse Fire

Lineage says 797 homes between Los Palos Street and Herbert Avenue qualify, with a $200 utility credit in every zone.

Nearly 800 households within a mile of the Lineage warehouse in Boyle Heights can claim recovery help after the fire, including a $200 utility credit. The count is Lineage's own: 797 homes inside a boundary map the company has been using since the summer. The block-by-block breakdown was reported by Boyle Heights Beat, in a story published by LAist on September 2, 2026.

Your address decides what you get. West of Indiana Street, the $200 credit arrives through the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power. A few blocks east, in unincorporated East Los Angeles, the same $200 comes through Southern California Edison.

The boundary

The map covers homes between Union Pacific Avenue and the 5 Freeway, and between Los Palos Street and Herbert Avenue. All of it sits less than a mile from the warehouse. Lineage presented the map at an air-district hearing on August 6, 2026.

You're wondering whether the line moved. It did, last month, after L.A. County Supervisor Hilda Solis pushed to extend it deeper into East Los Angeles, according to her office. The unincorporated community had been left out when utility credits went to Boyle Heights customers in July 2026.

What each zone gets

• Zone 1, Los Palos to Indiana streets: Airbnb hotel vouchers, grocery vouchers good at Food4Less and Kroger, air purifiers, air conditioning units, N95 masks, bottled water, fly traps, a $200 LADWP credit and cash assistance.
• Zone 2, Indiana Street to Hicks Avenue: the same list, with the $200 credit through Southern California Edison.
• Zone 3, Hicks to Herbert avenues: the same goods and the $200 Edison credit. Lineage's list for this zone stops short of cash assistance.

How to ask

Residents inside the boundary can request support through Lineage's online form, by emailing boyleheights@onelineage.com, or by calling (866) 317-1115. The company says the line is staffed in English and Spanish.

Lineage told Boyle Heights Beat it has run five rounds of door-to-door outreach to the 797 addresses on the map. It had reached 718 of them as of August 25, 2026. Its tally through late August counts 613 air purifiers and 669 portable air-conditioning units. The same tally lists 1,223 grocery vouchers and 1,989 fly traps.

Who drew the line

Officials gave Boyle Heights Beat conflicting answers about that, the outlet reported. Lineage said the city and county designated the area, while Solis's office said it had no say in the original map and pushed only for the extension. Both 211LA and the city's Community Investment Department said they didn't create it. The department's general manager, Abigail Marquez, said her office worked from maps the city's Emergency Management Department had already drawn. That department didn't respond to the outlet's inquiry.

If you live outside the boundary

You can still walk into the Community Resource Center at Boyle Heights City Hall, 2130 E. 1st St. As of September 7, 2026, the city's recovery page lists two windows:

• Thursday, September 10, 2026, noon to 5 p.m.
• Saturday, September 12, 2026, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Free mobile health clinics take no appointments. They offer respiratory screenings, eye and skin checks and mental-health support.

• St. John's Mobile Clinic, at Inner City Struggle, 3467 Whittier Blvd.: Tuesday, September 8, 2026, 3 to 6:30 p.m.
• St. John's Mobile Clinic, at Stevenson Middle School, 725 S. Indiana St.: Thursday, September 10, 2026, 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Those are the dates the city's recovery page listed on September 7, 2026. The L.A. County Department of Health Services clinic at Salazar Park, 3864 Whittier Blvd., ran on September 2 and 4, and the page listed no further county dates.
