All 646 L.A. County Vote Centers Are Open Through Tuesday's Election
The county's 646 sites register voters on the spot and take mail ballots, and they're open until 8 p.m. on Election Day.

Any Los Angeles County voter can walk into any of the county's 646 vote centers before Tuesday's general election, and as of Saturday every one of them is open, the Santa Monica Daily Press reported. Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk Dean C. Logan announced the openings, and the sites will stay open every day through Election Day.
You aren't tied to one polling place. The centers are open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. through Monday and 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Election Day. They'll register eligible residents who missed the deadline and let them vote on the spot, and they take completed mail ballots. The map is at locator.lavote.gov.
The weak spot is the mailbox. A mailed ballot counts only if it's postmarked by Tuesday, and county officials warned that because of changes at the U.S. Postal Service, one sent now might not get that postmark in time. The registrar's office says late mailers should have a postal clerk postmark the envelope at the counter. Officials would rather voters skip the mail and use a vote center or one of the county's 429 drop boxes, which take ballots until 8 p.m. Tuesday, according to the Santa Monica Daily Press. The Globe has also covered the county's other mail-ballot deadlines.
Inside the city of Los Angeles, the ballot also includes races for mayor and city attorney. "Don't wait for the rush on Tuesday," Logan said in a statement.
