The Clippers lost their fourth straight game Friday, and the team that beat them was missing its best player.

The Minnesota Timberwolves won 127-101 in Minneapolis, according to the final score from TheSportsDB. Field Level Media reported it was Minnesota's first win since Anthony Edwards went down with a knee injury that'll keep him out for the next two months.

One number explains most of it. Minnesota outscored Los Angeles 62-42 in the paint, according to Field Level Media, so the paint accounts for 20 points of a 26-point margin. The number doesn't show how long the Clippers stayed in it. Derrick Jones Jr.'s floater cut the deficit to nine early in the third quarter, and the game didn't really break open until the fourth.

LaMelo Ball led Minnesota with 24 points and seven assists, with Jaden McDaniels adding 23 and Bones Hyland 19 off the bench, Field Level Media reported. Darius Garland matched Ball with 24 for the Clippers, but it took him 22 shots to get there.

The shot that put it away came from Ayo Dosunmu, whose 3-pointer with 8:18 left started a 23-2 Minnesota run. He finished with 15 points and seven rebounds, and it was only his second game in a row filling Edwards' spot in the starting lineup.
