Long Beach got jolted at about 12:44 a.m. Friday. A magnitude 3.2 earthquake hit just over a mile southwest of Signal Hill, ABC7 reported, citing the U.S. Geological Survey.

ABC7 said no damage was reported right after it. Fox LA also had no immediate reports of damage or injuries.

The quake started 12.3 kilometers underground, ABC7 reported from USGS figures. Fox LA put that at about 7.6 miles, called the magnitude preliminary and timed it a little before 12:45 a.m.

Officials hadn't released anything more by Friday morning, ABC7 reported. So a 3.2 near Signal Hill and no reported damage is the whole account so far.

Next, the USGS wants to hear from people who felt the shaking. The agency is asking them to report it on the quake's event page, Fox LA reported.
