Zoned, in one minute
A new grid of colored shapes every day. Drop one globe in every row, every column and every color. Every puzzle has exactly one answer, and you never need to guess.
The four rules
- One globe in every row. Side to side.
- One globe in every column. Top to bottom.
- One globe in every color. Each outlined shape gets exactly one.
- Globes never touch. Not even at the corners.
How to play it
- Tap a square to drop a globe. Tap it again to lift it off.
- Drag or hold to mark ✕ on squares you have ruled out.
- Hint shows you the next move and why it works. It adds 15 seconds.
- Keyboard: arrows move, Space drops a globe, X marks, H asks for a hint.
The week
Monday is a gentle 6×6. The grids grow through the week, and Sunday is the big 9×9.
Each day’s puzzle is built around one move. Solve it and the move is yours. There are six to learn.
A new puzzle every midnight, Los Angeles time. Same puzzle for everyone.
Zoned runs in your browser, and your streak and stats stay on this device. When you solve today’s puzzle, your points go on that day’s public board as Anonymous Angeleno, under a random ID your browser made up. Your name goes on it only if you add it, and your solves are saved to an account only if you sign in on the Games page. The page also counts visits with Google Analytics (see Privacy).
