June's quietest big deal: New York City Ballet landed in Los Angeles for the first time in more than 20 years, with a two-program run at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, per LAmag. The month's louder bookings held their own — Ariana Grande played two nights at Crypto.com Arena and three more at the Kia Forum, while Shakira brought her tour to the Intuit Dome for two nights.

A two-decade absence from the country's second city is the kind of thing both towns should be a little embarrassed about. Here's hoping the next visit doesn't wait for 2046.
