Anna Mallett spent just over five years as Netflix's vice president of production for the UK and EMEA, a run that included "Baby Reindeer," "Adolescence" and the late seasons of "Money Heist." Now she's leaving in a round of London layoffs, Deadline reported Monday.

It's a small round by Deadline's tally, roughly 2% to 3% of a London staff that runs to several hundred. Others are leaving from jobs in PR and marketing. The Ankler was first to report Mallett's exit, according to Deadline.

The London round comes a few weeks after Netflix said it was cutting 1,000 jobs, about 6% of its staff worldwide. Product, tech, legal and HR took the worst of it. Content chief Bela Bajaria and film chief Dan Lin also left, and British-born Peter Rice now has Bajaria's job. Deadline says the company is dealing with slower growth, softer viewing and a falling stock price.

Mallett is one of the better-known executives in British TV. Before Netflix, she was CEO of ITN, which produces the news for ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5, and before that she was group COO and production managing director at BBC Studios. Her exit moves the cuts out of the product and tech teams, where they hit hardest, and into production.
