LOQUI and Woon's Wok-Fired Asada Taco Is in the Arts District Until Tuesday
After a Friday sidewalk party at Woon in Filipinotown, the taco moved to LOQUI's shop at 803 Traction Ave. for four more days.

Carne asada usually goes on a grill. For five days in October, LOQUI's went into a wok, and the taco that came out of it is in the Arts District through Tuesday only.
It starts with LOQUI's asada soaking in two pantry staples from Woon, its Stir Fry Sauce and Wok Legend's Seasoning Salt, before the meat is cooked in the wok. Asian slaw and Woon Mama's Way Hot Sauce go on top, and LOQUI's charred chile crema goes on last.
It's called the Wok-Fired Carne Asada Taco, and it debuted Friday night, October 2, at a SideWok Taco Party outside Woon, the Historic Filipinotown restaurant. L.A. Taco flagged the party for its members, with a photo of the tacos out on the sidewalk. Mariachi played from 7 to 8 p.m., the chips and guacamole came with Woon's Chili Crisp, and the bar poured slushie shochu margaritas next to a free fruit cart, Out of the Box LA reported from Woon's Instagram flyer.
Friday's party is done, but the taco moved to the Arts District. From Saturday, October 3, through Tuesday, October 6, LOQUI is serving it at its shop at 803 Traction Ave. #150, and Woon's post says nowhere else will have it after Friday, Out of the Box LA reported. We Like L.A. listed the same run, October 3 through 6.
The wok taco is one stop on LOQUI y Amigos, a month of cooking with other kitchens that the taco shop chose over a single blowout to mark its 10th year in Los Angeles, Out of the Box LA reported. The series opened Sept. 15 with an Adobo Verde Chicken Taco that's now a permanent item at every LOQUI. Next, Fly By Jing took over LOQUI La Brea from Sept. 25 to 29, cooking a Chili Crisp Chicken Bowl and a Chili Crisp Guava Quesadilla.
So the adobo verde chicken taco gets to stay for good. The wok-fired asada got five days, and one of them was a party.
The series wraps October 16 at LOQUI Playa Vista, with a Pork Adobada Pie from Pizza Ananda and a churro cruller donut from Nyletta.
