Bob Odenkirk is booked at L.A. Comic Con for one day only: Saturday, which is Halloween, typically the show's busiest day, with rain forecast that night.

That's the day to circle. The convention's 15th edition opens at 3 p.m. Friday at the Los Angeles Convention Center downtown and runs through Sunday. Its own guest list has all four Breaking Bad actors (Odenkirk, Aaron Paul, Giancarlo Esposito and Dean Norris) there together only on Saturday. "Aaron Paul's never done a convention in the United States and Bob Odenkirk's never done a convention, period," CEO Chris DeMoulin told KFI AM 640.

  1. Breaking Bad is a Saturday thing. Paul is listed for Friday and Saturday, Esposito for all three days and Norris for Saturday and Sunday, according to the con's guest page. The con's day-by-day guide puts a Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul panel on Saturday's Main Stage, and KFI notes that panel seats go to whoever gets there first. If you can only make Friday, there's a duo photo op with Paul and Krysten Ritter, who's booked Friday only.
  2. Nicolas Cage gets two days. Cage is in Saturday and Sunday and has a Main Stage panel on Saturday, the con says. Hayden Christensen is there Friday and Saturday, and his 8:45 p.m. Friday spotlight panel in Room 408 AB needs a separate ticket. Four Outlander actors on the con's guest list, led by Sam Heughan, are in Saturday and Sunday; KFI also names a fifth, Steven Walters.
  3. Plan around the rain. Showers could start Friday, but the best odds are Saturday night and Sunday morning, LAist reported Thursday. L.A. County and the hills stand to catch the biggest share of a storm that's likely to leave half an inch to 1.5 inches. Forecasters told LAist it could come in heavier or barely show, depending on where a low-pressure system tracks. The National Weather Service says the last wet Halloween in L.A. was in 2014. Lines open at 7:30 a.m. Saturday and Sunday.
  4. Badge pickup moved. Collecting your badge at the show? Head for the South Hall Lobby and go in off Figueroa Street, between Venice and Pico boulevards, organizers say. Pickup opens at 8 a.m. Friday and 7:30 a.m. the other two days. Badge already in hand? Bypass the lobby and use the show door meant for your pass.
  5. Don't drive in hoping. Construction has cut parking at the convention center significantly, the con says, and it's pointing fans to Metro's A and E lines or rideshare. No matter how early you show up, DeMoulin told KFI, "the parking is going to be gone really quickly within a couple of blocks of the building."
  6. What a day costs. On Friday, the ticket page listed single days at $42 to $60. A three-day pass is $119, and both VIP tiers are sold out. Children up through age 12 don't pay, though each still needs a free pass chosen along with a grown-up's ticket, KFI reported, and organizers warn fans to buy only through the official site.
  7. Halloween happens indoors. Participating exhibitors start handing out candy at noon Saturday, while it lasts, per the con. DeMoulin told KFI about a third of attendees bring their kids. Anyone under 16 needs a parent or guardian along.
  8. Or go Sunday. DeMoulin told KFI that Friday and Sunday usually draw smaller crowds than Saturday. Sunday has a Futurama cast reunion on the Main Stage and is Cage's last day, though its 7:30 a.m. line falls in the forecast's best odds for rain. Bring the umbrella.
