Los Angeles is now inside a three-year window of hosting duties that will reshape how the city moves. Engineering News-Record reports Metro officials are advancing preparations to carry riders through this year's FIFA World Cup matches, the 2027 Super Bowl, and the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The games will come and go; the transit built for them is the part the city keeps. Judge every dollar by what's left over in 2029.
