Burgers, fries and a game console on the same table: that's Kappa Bar, and the Swedish chain wants to bring it to Echo Park.

Public filings show Kappa Bar planning a spot at 1702 W. Sunset Blvd., What Now Los Angeles reported Friday. The chain's website lists Los Angeles and Houston as coming soon in North America. Its current locations are in Sweden, France and Copenhagen, according to What Now, so Echo Park could be where it lands in the U.S. first.

The L.A. application gives a good look at the room. It describes a 2,447-square-foot space with 60 indoor seats, plus board games and video game consoles right at the tables. Pizzas, burgers, fries and nonalcoholic drinks make up the short menu filed with it.

The hours aren't short. Kappa Bar asked to open at 11 a.m. and close at midnight Monday through Thursday, then run from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. Friday through Sunday. That would put a late-night game table on a stretch of Sunset that's already changing. What Now has also tracked Breakfast Republic's plans for the former Brite Spot down the street at 1918 W. Sunset Blvd.

The chain opened its first location in Gothenburg in 2016, and that's where the formula is easiest to see. On the Gothenburg location's own page, Kappa says many of its dining tables come with consoles built in, and guests choose which one they want when they book. A PlayStation table rents for 150 kronor an hour per group, with Rocket League, EA FC 26 and Overcooked loaded. Nintendo Switch tables run Mario Kart and Smash Bros. The kitchen is built around smash burgers.

Gothenburg's official visitor guide lists it as an e-sports bar that streams major e-sports events and keeps board games around for anyone who'd rather not touch a controller. The Swedish site's tagline is "Where pixels meet cocktails!" It comes with a cocktail list themed on video games. The drinks on the Echo Park application's menu are all nonalcoholic.

There's no opening date. What Now said it reached out to Felix LaHaye, who's listed on the California registration for Kappa Bar Los Angeles LLC filed in March, and got no answer before publishing. Until Kappa names a day, its Echo Park location exists only in a filing: 60 seats, a stack of board games and a console at the table.
