About the Editor

Robert Guicheteau

Founder, Editor & Columnist — The LA Globe

Robert Guicheteau writes, edits, and publishes The LA Globe. Every digest, every column, every correction — his. He founded the Globe on a simple conviction: Los Angeles is the most written-about city in the world and still one of the least understood, and the fix is sustained, close attention from someone who actually lives here.

He came to publishing from a decade in digital media, where half a million people know him as Robert Francis. As a creator he built his TikTok audience to 520,000 followers in a single year; as a digital consultant he developed content strategy for major tech companies and drove millions of views for Fortune 500 brands. He also runs StoryWeave, a channel devoted to the stories that shape everyday life — from ancient legends to current events.

He started out in theater, which is where he learned the professional skill he still rates highest: turning stage fright into usable energy. He has described his career as a sequence of bets — including a $50-a-day social media job that became the foundation of everything after it. The LA Globe is the latest bet: that a city this big will make room for one more person paying attention to it.
